1. Bookedtify’s Role
Bookedtify is a technology platform that connects clients with independent service providers. Bookedtify does not provide the services listed on the platform.
The provider is responsible for delivering the service, honouring the cancellation policy shown at the time of booking, and issuing refunds where required by law, this Policy, or the provider’s own cancellation rules.
Bookedtify may help process cancellations, refunds, and disputes through the platform, but Bookedtify is not responsible for refunding clients from Bookedtify’s own funds because of provider cancellation, provider no-show, provider fraud, provider misconduct, provider refusal, or provider non-performance, unless required by law.
2. Policy Shown at Booking
The cancellation and refund rules shown to the client at the time of booking apply to that booking. Providers may update their cancellation policy for future bookings, but changes do not normally affect bookings that were already made.
Bookedtify may store a snapshot of the cancellation policy that applied when the booking was created.
3. Provider Cancellation Policy Options
Providers may be required to choose from cancellation policy options made available by Bookedtify.
- Flexible Policy: the client may cancel for a full refund until 24 hours before the appointment.
- Standard Policy: the client may cancel for a full refund until 48 hours before the appointment, with possible partial refund rules after that if shown at booking.
- Strict Policy: the client may cancel for a full refund until 7 days before the appointment, with possible partial refund rules after that if shown at booking.
- Non-Refundable Policy: where legally allowed, a provider may offer a non-refundable booking, except where the provider cancels, fails to provide the service, misleads the client, violates the law, or mandatory consumer rights require a refund.
- Custom Policy: Bookedtify may allow custom cancellation policies and may reject policies that are unclear, unfair, unlawful, misleading, abusive, or likely to create excessive disputes.
4. Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. Where applicable law gives a client a right to cancel, withdraw, receive a refund, receive a partial refund, or challenge unfair terms, that legal right overrides any conflicting provider policy or platform setting.
Providers are responsible for complying with consumer protection laws that apply to their services.
5. Client Cancellation and Pending Bookings
A client may cancel a booking through Bookedtify where the platform allows cancellation. The refund amount depends on the cancellation policy shown at booking, the time remaining before the appointment, whether the service has started or completed, whether mandatory consumer law applies, and whether the provider chooses a goodwill refund.
If a booking request is still pending and has not yet been accepted by the provider, the client may cancel the request. If the client was charged before provider acceptance and the booking is cancelled before acceptance, the client should receive a refund or payment release unless otherwise clearly disclosed and legally permitted.
6. Provider Cancellation, No-Shows, and Late Arrival
If a provider cancels a confirmed booking, the client should receive a refund of the eligible service amount unless the client agrees to reschedule instead. Provider cancellation may result in deductions from the provider’s balance, chargeback responsibility, reduced visibility, account review, suspension, or termination for repeated cancellations.
If a provider does not attend or otherwise fails to provide the booked service, the client may be entitled to a refund after Bookedtify reviews available evidence.
If a client is a no-show or arrives too late for the service to be reasonably performed, the booking may be non-refundable depending on the cancellation policy shown at booking and applicable law.
7. Rescheduling and Service Not as Described
Clients and providers may reschedule a booking where Bookedtify allows rescheduling and both parties agree. A rescheduled booking remains subject to the cancellation policy shown at the time of the original booking unless Bookedtify or the provider clearly states otherwise and the client agrees.
If a provider’s service is materially different from the listing shown at booking, Bookedtify may review booking details, messages, provider evidence, client evidence, photos or documents where appropriate and lawful, and platform records. If the provider materially misrepresented the service, Bookedtify may facilitate a full or partial refund and deduct the amount from the provider.
8. Unsafe, Illegal, or Abusive Service
Clients should report unsafe, illegal, abusive, discriminatory, fraudulent, or threatening provider behaviour to Bookedtify immediately.
Bookedtify may investigate and may take action, including refunding the client where appropriate, cancelling bookings, removing listings, holding provider payouts, suspending the provider, terminating the provider account, or reporting serious issues to authorities where required or appropriate.
9. Refund Method, Timing, and Fees
Refunds are normally returned to the original payment method used by the client. Refund timing may depend on the payment provider, the client’s bank, card network processing times, fraud checks, dispute status, currency conversion, and legal or compliance review.
Bookedtify platform fees may be non-refundable unless required by law, Bookedtify decides otherwise, the refund is caused by Bookedtify’s own error, the booking was cancelled before provider acceptance, or the provider cancelled or failed to provide the service and Bookedtify policy requires fee reversal.
Payment processing fees may be handled according to the payment provider’s rules and applicable law.
10. Provider Responsibility for Refunds
Providers are responsible for refund amounts caused by provider cancellation, provider no-show, failure to deliver the service, provider misconduct, fraud, illegal service, unsafe service, misleading listing, incorrect price or description, breach of the Provider Agreement, or mandatory consumer law.
Bookedtify may recover provider-responsible refunds from the provider’s current balance, future payouts, future earnings, withheld funds, reserves, connected payment account, or payment method where permitted.
11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
A chargeback or payment dispute happens when a client challenges a payment through their bank, card issuer, or payment provider. Clients are encouraged to contact Bookedtify support before filing a chargeback so the issue can be reviewed.
If a chargeback is caused by provider cancellation, provider no-show, provider non-performance, provider fraud, provider misconduct, misleading listing, or refund refusal, the provider is financially responsible for the disputed amount, chargeback fees, payment processor fees, administrative costs, related losses, and negative balances.
12. Evidence, Review Process, and Abuse
Bookedtify may ask clients or providers to submit evidence, including booking confirmation, cancellation records, messages, photos, receipts, location details, attendance records, proof of service delivery, proof of client non-attendance, proof of provider cancellation, or other relevant information.
When a refund request is received, Bookedtify may check the cancellation policy shown at booking, review records, contact the provider, request evidence, check payment status, check whether mandatory law applies, and decide whether the refund should be approved, denied, or partially approved.
Users must not abuse refunds, cancellations, or chargebacks. Abuse may result in account restriction, suspension, termination, or legal action.
